The salary dispute that Kylian Mbappé has been having with his former team, Paris Saint-Germain, for over a year escalated this Thursday when the Real Madrid forward's lawyers announced the seizure of the club's accounts and threatened with his participation in European competitions if the 55 million euros they are claiming are not paid.

While the player's lawyer and representative, Delphine Verheyden, was waging a war on various fronts, including criminal, the club responded by stating that the dispute can only be resolved in labor court and described the lawyer's account as "fantastical."

PSG maintains that this amount corresponds to the verbal agreement reached between Mbappé and the president, Nasser Al-Khelaifi, to ensure he did not leave the club without a transfer fee, which they believe justifies the non-payment of those amounts.

An agreement that the player's lawyers deny any validity to, as it was never registered, and they remind that various sports bodies have sided with them.

"We have already waited too long," said Verheyden, who appeared accompanied by three colleagues specializing in labor, civil, and criminal law, the battlegrounds in which they intend to fight for a victory that, in their opinion, their client and all footballers in conflict with their clubs deserve.

In the immediate term, the lawyers have achieved the preventive seizure of 55 million from the club's accounts, while also launching criminal actions against the entity where Mbappé played for seven years, considering that this battle is attacking his image and honor.

On the table, a series of defamatory messages against the player and his family, which the lawyers have brought before the courts to determine if they respond to a pressure maneuver by the club. "We only have the option of filing multiple actions to force the club to pay," said Verheyden, who reminded that various sports bodies have sided with them.

At the same time, she stated that they have asked the French Football Federation (FFF) to inform UEFA that the club has not paid one of its players, which could lead to their expulsion from sports competitions starting next season.
